Workouts & Netflix

This is late. Like 2 days late. I meant to get this done Monday but well, life happens. I’m holding myself accountable and going to start doing these blogs on Sunday nights to post on Monday!

This weekend we watched the Fyre Documentary. I had heard about it when it happened but never gave it much thought. This guy scammed so many people out of so much money for a music festival that never happened. I’d say his jail time is well deserved. I’d had have been so angry if I had paid thousands to attend a music festival only to get there and have horrible accommodations and food. Now I’m glad I can’t afford to go to a music festival. At least no one will scam me out of money. Although I’m pretty sure as soon as someone told me I was going to go to Pablo Escobar’s private island, I’d know it was shady…

Speaking of things not being what they seem, I hate shopping for pants. I need new pants for work so I went to Old Navy. I love their clothes but had no luck. I tried on 6 pairs of pants and they were all too tight in the thigh and had a big gap at the waist. So I went to JCPenney as their Worthington brand Modern Fit Trousers fit me perfectly. But they don’t make them anymore. So I tried their high waisted, wide leg pants. Those fit in the legs and the waist but were way too tight in the butt and quad area. I finally went to Dress Barn and found 2 pairs of pants! I haven’t been to a Dress Barn in years. They have a lot of cute clothes so I’ll be back. If you’re like me with big legs and a big booty, try their Secret Agent trousers. They fit over my butt but don’t gap at the waist. I bought 2 pairs and I’m going back soon to buy some more! They have different lengths and fits so I’m guessing anyone can find a pair of flattering pants.

Ok, anyhow, last week’s workouts. I’ve been loving the workout classes lately. My gym offers classes early in the morning, during the day and in the evening. I’m hoping once I start working, I can make it to some early in the morning on the way to work.

Monday: Kickboxing class. I love this class. I get to punch, kick, and yell. During the workout, I feel like I could kick someone’s a**. After the workout, I feel like I’ve gotten my ass kicked.

Tuesday: Barre class. This class works your entire body. It’s only offered during the day so when I start work, I won’t be able to go. I also did this yoga workout.

Wednesday: No real workout but I walked Deuce like usual. (I try to walk him at least 20 minutes every day when the weather is nice.) I spent about 20 minutes stretching in the morning.

Thursday: I went to 30/30 Class at my gym. This is 30 minutes of Zumba and 30 minutes of Zumba toning. It’s a lot of cardio and burns a lot of calories.

Friday: I did the Kill Cupcake workout from Autumn Calabrese at home. This workout is only available on Beachbody On Demand. It’s short and intense.

Saturday: I didn’t feel like going to the gym so I did the Total Body Core workout from A Little More Obsessed with Autumn Calabrese. Again, this is only available on Beachbody On Demand.

Sunday: No real workout but I stretched for awhile then took Deuce on his usual walk.

I want to say something about working out. Exercise isn’t meant to be a punishment to your body. It’s a way of taking care of your body. So many people can’t exercise because of a health reason. You don’t HAVE to workout, you GET to workout. Exercise doesn’t have to be an all out, difficult workout. It can be as simple as a stretch session or a walk outside. Listen to your body. It will tell you what it needs.

Have a good week everyone!
