The Big Dam Bridge

It’s Sunday, so you know what that means. We’re watching Saturday Night Live. We’re too lame to stay up late Sat night so we record it and watch it on Sunday. Last night Gwenyth Paltrow showed up. I have an extreme dislike for her. She annoys the crap out of me. At least in this bit she made fun of herself. I softened my views for a few minutes. But then I was back to being snarky.

I’m kind of proud of myself, I got up and made breakfast this morning. I found a recipe online and then adapted it. Meaning, I forgot the coconut aminos. Woops. It still tasted amazing. I’ll post it but please know I don’t exactly measure everything out perfectly.

Breakfast Fried Rice:
4 slices bacon
3 eggs
1 cup broccoli- cut up
1 cup cauliflower rice
1/2 cup peppers- diced
1/2 cup onions-diced
Everything Bagel Seasoning
Fry bacon over medium- high heat. Once bacon is done, set it aside to cool. When it’s cool, cut into small pieces. Save about 1 TBSP of bacon fat and saute all veggies. When the veggies are cooked, add in the bacon pieces and mix well. Create three holes in the mixture and crack an egg into each hole. Cover the pan and let cook until the egg is done to your preference. Sprinkle on the seasoning and serve immediately.

We also took the afternoon and went to the Big Dam Bridge in Little Rock. I just found out about it while looking for things to do in Little Rock. It’s a pedestrian bridge that is nearly a mile long and connects to different walking trails. The views were pretty cool even though it was kind of cloudy. We got to see a big barge come through since the bridge is built over a dam. I plan on taking Deuce next time as he can always use some exercise. Speaking of exercise, here’s my weekly workout round up:

Monday: A Little More Obsessed AAA (Arms, Abs, & Ass). I needed this after being in the car all day on Sunday.

Tuesday: Barre Class at the gym. A killer leg workout! I also did this yoga to stretch out.

Wednesday: Transform 20 Sample workout. I wanted a quick cardio workout to shake my legs out. This ended up being all lunges and squats. Not what I wanted.

Thursday: I did yoga for my hamstrings because they needed the stretch.

Friday: RIPPED Class at the gym. This was my last RIPPED class unless I can make myself go at 5:00 am.

Saturday: 25 minutes on the treadmill and a morning yoga routine. I took Deuce on a longer walk than usual and we went up and down hills too.

Sunday: No real workout but walked a few miles on the Big Dam Bridge and trails and of course, walked Deuce too.

I’ll see how my workout schedule changes when I start working this week. I start my job on Tuesday. Luckily, my gym offers classes at 5:00 am and in the evening so I have no excuse. Also, as the weather gets warmer, I can go for more walks and challenge myself with all of the hills. The gym is on my way to/from work so again, no excuses. My gym is starting to do some classes Sat morning at 8:00 so that’s kind of nice too. Get up, workout, and get on with your day.

Have a great week!

  1. Do you have to switch gyms when you move? How far is work from the new house? Where do you like comments on your blog the most-FB, the actual blog…??

    • Work will be about 30-35 minutes from the new house. I think closer to 30! I’m not planning on switching gyms yet. We have a membership through October and the gym is on the way to and from work.
